Gauteng Solar Geyser

Trigen RSA has been appointed as the main contractor to install 15,000 solar geysers in Tembisa, Gauteng, as part of the province's initiative to enhance energy efficiency and infrastructure resilience. This project alleviates pressure on the municipal power grid while providing affordable hot water access to thousands of households, contributing to lower energy costs, improved living conditions, and long-term environmental benefits for the community.

Gauteng Solar

We are implementing a solar energy solution for Soweto’s largest technical school to transition it off-grid, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply. This project enhances energy security, reduces reliance on municipal infrastructure, and promotes sustainability in education, supporting continuous learning and serving as a model for clean energy adoption in South Africa’s public institutions.

National Treasury

  • Location: Naledi Municipality, Eastern Cape

  • Geysers Installed: 9,000

  • Project Value: +R70M

As part of South Africa’s National Treasury initiative (Bid RT 29), we have been selected as one of six appointed partners—and the only local OEM—to enhance revenue collection models for electricity and water services in local municipalities. This project involves auditing, building, and installing new metering systems integrated into the municipality’s preferred revenue platform, driving efficiency, sustainability, and financial stability for Naledi Municipality and its residents.

Sol Plaatje Treasury

We have been selected as one of six partners under South Africa’s National Treasury initiative (Bid RT 29)—and the only local OEM—to enhance revenue collection for electricity and water services in local municipalities.
